The *CONSENSUS PICK* for today is St. Louis -123.. I hope we can get back on track starting tonihgt.. LA had 1 or 2 votes less.. I think both of these plays are the strongest on the board.. Good Job today.. Hope we get some cash flowing ...

Hope everyone had a good Mother's Day.. My wife I sure did !! :brows: ... It looks like the Yankees had the most votes on Saturday.. I said that day WOULD count but that I wouldn't be around that day to post it... Good Job b/c we needed it... Thanks to pgh kid for starting the thread on Sunday... I'm not going to count it for the simple fact that I wasn't around to write the lines down and have no way of knowing exactly how much juice to add or subtract from everyones totals..

One more note: I just hooked up with a local last week.. I'm up about 4 UNITS from playing hoops (just this week).. I am going to play the *CONSENSUS PICK* every day for the rest of the month.. Fellas we need to do a little better job... I know everyone likes to pick a +200 DOG when they are down with their individual picks, but I didn't start the thread just so we could show off our personal stats.. I want the play that you think is the BEST for that day.. Not the best for your individual record.. I know it's easy to pick a -250 FAV , but I'd rather go 10-2 with a -250 FAV instead of going 2-10 on a +240 dog...

When I first started this thread I wasn't going to post individual records b/c I figured at some point eveyone would be making picks for their individual numbers and not for the "greater good".. This is not a pick from the heart... I really like Morris at this price at home vs. a Cubs team that just got their panties pulled down by the Brew Crew.. Give the Home FAV at -123 with their ACE on the hill.. G/L fellas..

I agree with the Cardinals pick. The Cards -120 at home with Morris on the mound is just too good to pass up. I think that's the best play on the board for Monday.

I also like Morris and the Cards. I think Sundays win was huge for their confidence and this is the start of their run. I wouldnt be surprised at all if they won 10 of their next 12

Houston Astros -112 ...this team has been the biggest failure for the early 2002 season...every team puts a few together and since they are starting a homestand why not tonight.

As for my picks at least, I do try to make a serious play and "play to win". Any consensus type format can get flawed when you "see" the other plays before you post and then get swayed into copying sometimes.

Couple of comments earlier in this thread about overall money management were still something to consider.....so far if you played Johnson, Schilling, Martinez, and lets say Mussina you would be safely "up" at his time. But you draw a line today and play them out for the balance of the season...not so sure you will be smiling.

Anyway GLTA!

ML St. Louis Cardinals w/Morris.
Won't want to argue against this stat.
Cardinals at home are 12-2 against the Cubs over the last 3 seasons.
Plus it's Morris on the mound.

Giants are 11 and 4 at home and Rueter has been hot. Atlanta has been inconsistent at best.

Today's Play: St Louis w\ Morris at -130 looks good.

I will not be posting after today through next Sunday. Heading for Las Vegas for the BCA pool tournament.
