Outright plays (2pts):

Tom Kite to win 18/1 e.w. @ BetInternet
Form may have dipped a little after such a peak in performance from July to early September, but still playing better than most of this field. Not too many players with a lot of experience around Hayfields, but Kite can lay claim to a top-5 finish in 2001 so this could be the week he returns to the winner's circle.

D.A. Weibring to win 20/1 e.w. @ Centrebet, BetInternet and William Hill
No easing of form from Weibring. He extended his run of top-10 finishes to four at the SAS Championship last week and is firmly established as one of the leading players on the Tour - he ranks 1st in top-10 finishes on the Tour. No course experience, but looks set to be in contention and in the top-10 yet again.

Tom Jenkins to win 40/1 e.w. @ Stan James and BetInternet
Big price for a player who earned his second runners-up finish of the season last week - he has won a title on Tour this season as well. He will always play well on courses where greens in regulation is an important stat and he does have three year's experience of playing in this event at Hayfields. Not as consistent as the other selections, but a price that more than compensates.

Matchup plays (2pts):

Bruce Fleisher to beat Allen Doyle -115 @ Centrebet
With the players in very similar form, this is a play based on course form. In the three years that this event has been held at Hayfields, Fleisher has finished ahead of Doyle in each of the last two years, while Doyle needed a playoff to beat Fleisher and lift the title in 2001.
(also available at Five Dimes)

Wayne Levi to beat Jerry Pate -114 @ Expekt
More straightforward play here. Pate has not played on this course before this week, while Levi has finished 7th and 5th in the last two years and in terms of current form, Levi has finished ahead of Pate in six of their last seven common events.

Outrights - FINAL RESULT: 0-3; -6.00pts

Kite 21th
Weibring 6th
Jenkins 24th

No-one really in contention for a place finish until Weibring in the final round, but he failed to birdie the par-five last hole and it was costly. He finished outside the payout places by a single shot.

Matchups - FINAL RESULT: 2-0-0; +4.00pts

Fleisher/Doyle WON by 3
Levi/Pate WON by 5

Good to sweep the matchups and cut some of the losses on the outrights.
