This notion is probably based on too small a sample-size, notably some 'better' (i.e. better power rankings from a couple of sources) road teams that I have played and then subsequently witnessed them dominating 1st halfs while later crapping the bed in the 2nd half.
I was tempted to post this question even before tonight's games, but a couple that I was looking at actually contradict this idea and, while both were around pick (Oregon) or small dogs (Pacific), both are losers on the 1H line. Maybe these two leans were out to lunch but on a number of occasions I have seen the smallish road favorite leading at half and then the incomprehensible (to me) home edge really stomping my play come 2nd half.
I probably should avoid college hoops, but if anybody has the interest or patience to consider such an idea then I'll gladly accept any feedback.
