Another long slate of bets for this week. After a quick rundown, I like Cal, Duke, Miss, USC (CA), ISU, Tulane, UNC, and Baylor. Of these, USC and ISU are below the threshold of what I usually consider for a ?contrarian? bet (+150). I still like them, but on the sheer basis of value, we will pick a few ?longer? shots this week. That said, here?s what we are considering:
Cal +400
Duke +180
Miss +150
Tulane +260
UNC +375
Baylor +350
This is a rough line-up this week as I really like all six of these for different reasons. Cal has put up big numbers and MSU looked awful last week. MSU may also be looking ahead to a big game next week and be ripe for the upset. Northwestern has been awful this year and the game against Duke looks like a toss-up. My numbers show Miss, Tulane, and Baylor all finishing their respective games within one point of their opponent. Finally, UNC is a huge gamble, but they pulled it out for me last week, and Texas was shut-out in the second half by UNT a few weeks back.
With the above noted, I?ll take Tulane to continue their win streak and send the Pirates to their third defeat.
