Michigan has not seen a defense like Iowa, not even close. Forcier is a great talent no doubt but the kid has not even played a game outside the state of Michigan yet folks. Think about this....

Some basic stats to project Tate Forcier's struggles in the upcoming Oct 10th Iowa game.

Listed stats are:
Pass Efficiency Defense
Total Defense
Scoring Defense

Take a look at the defenses (specifically pass defenses) that Forcier has played against.

Western Michigan
PE D - 79th
Total D - 89th
Scoring D - 71st

Notre Dame
PE D - 76th
Total D - 96th
Scoring D - 58th

Eastern Michigan
PE D - 6th
Total D - 72nd
Scoring D - 99th
EM is 6th in PE, but Forcier was only 7/13 for 68 yards because the game was in hand.

Indiana
PE D - 86th
Total D - 46th
Scoring D - 63rd

Michigan St
PE D - 101st
Total D - 49th
Scoring D - 64th

Now, look what he faces this Saturday -

Iowa
PE D - 4th
Total D - 32nd
Scoring D - 10th

And Tate Forcier has yet to win a game on the road and it is not going to happen tomorrow. Couple this with Forcier banged up, leading rusher Carlos Brown likely out and RB Minor limitd in practice you you have an Iowa D that will smell BLOOD.

Iowa 37-16.

Don't think Iowa has a good track record against them...although that's not current stuff. I luv Iowa as a dog, but not so sure as a fav...unless bowl season.

I am a HUGE Hawkeye homer and they will NOT cover if they play like they did last week against Arky State.

I am a Michigan fan, but I'm making Iowa my play of the week. Terrible spot for the Wolverines. Taking a frosh QB into this environment is going to be ugly, especially after the kid blew the game in OT against a big rival the week before. Blowout City.

Bad weather-stupid Iowa turnovers-Stanzi comes out cold

Sounds like the Penn St game :00hour

Hawkeye, keep in mind Moeki is back...DJK wont sit, and Buluga now has a week under his belt after the thyroid issue.

Also, Iowa hasnt fumbled the ball since the ISU, they will not lose the turnover batle.

Hey AG, I didn't mean to sound like a dick but keep that link handy. It's really nice to have a quick site like this handy, especially when snow will be falling soon.

I agree with Cruncher above. I usually like the Hawks in the role of the dog but am always very hesitant to lay points with them. I do think that they can generate enough offense against a pretty soft Mich. D to cover but I'm staying away.

can't say they won't cover but it is a big ten game and the freshman has kept Mich in games all year. Iowa will be his toughest test but it really does seem like an odd line. I thought it would be double digits for sure.

Depends on which Iowa team shows up . The one that beat Penn State I would say "YES" but I would have to say "NO" if they play like they did against Arkansas State . Staying away GL to you
