Houston -27.5 over Texas St ***
Hate giving up almost 4 tds in a basketball game. Tx St has beaten some cupcakes by over 50 in last 2 games Now they meet maybe the No 1 team in the country, with almost all of its scorers from Last yr Then add Cryer Baylors top player last yr. Houston can hit the bds and play defense, something they didn't see vs Jarvis Christian and Letourne. Last yr Houston beat Tx St 80-47 Tx state has a new pt gd and Harrell who had the ball in his hands 99% of the time the past 4 yrs will take some time to learn and adjust. Bobcats have already had over many turnovers and rank in the high 280's in turn overs. Houston just beat a solid Tex AM team. Sampson lost a few top scorers from last yrs team but I think they are a final 4 team and there rebounding and defesne will really put the Bobcats behind a lot. I worry about back door covers but Coogs play 8 or 9 guys so even when the starters are out the other subs are playing 100%. Think it could be like last yrs score of 80-47.

Houston -27. over Tex St ***
UTSA -5 over Army **
URI -5.5 over New Hamp **

houston wins by more then 6 touchdowns 72-37 Bobcats couldn't score . When you play some cupcakes and score 110 and 107 and then you play a team like the Cougars who play defense and score 37 points it gives you a false sense of your team. You think you are really unstoppable scoring in 3 figures in back to back games until you meet a real team that can rebound and esp play defense. Many teams play cupcakes early in the season and give you a false sense.. As a coach I lost 3 NY state finals and always started out my non conf schedule vs bigger and better teams then mine My non conf record almost every year was 1-4,1-3 0-4 etc. Then when our conference started i already played my toughest teams and the conference teams weren't as good.. Same tonight even though college is somewhat different .
