ESPN Radio 1000 reporting that the conclusion that took place yesterday in the cubs game was more serious then believed. Corey walked off the field and looked fine. He has reportedly torn his acl and is out for the rest of the season. I am depressed being a huge cub fan

NEW YORK -- Pittsburgh outfielder Kenny Lofton will replace Chicago's Corey Patterson as one of the five candidates in Internet voting for the final spot on the NL All-Star team.

Cubs manager Dusty Baker announced the change Monday because Patterson sprained his knee Sunday and will be unavailable for the game July 15 at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago.

The other four players on the ballot for the final NL roster spot are: Orlando Cabrera of the Montreal Expos; Luis Castillo of the Florida Marlins; Geoff Jenkins of the Milwaukee Brewers; and Benito Santiago of the San Francisco Giants.

Fans can vote for the final All-Star at MLB.com.
