Analyzing the over and under utilizes certain criteria as far as I can determine. Of course, the equality of the match up is one. Also,is one or both of the fighters whack artists is to be considered. In this fight I feel we have a shot at a stoppage for a couple of reasons. Aside from the usual hype, I believe there is "bad blood" between these two. Casamajor is VERY proud and wants to prove something badly. He is 35 years old. Not much time left to do it. If Chico keeps Joel at the end of his jab, he should win, BUT, will the heat get turned up here? If Casamajor catches Diego and hurts him a little, I think Corrales may go native on us and go for the throat. Casamajor is harder to find than Corrales, as we well know. I don't think Corrales believes he is in a fight unless he tastes the canvas. Maybe a boxing match will turn into an all out brawl. Should be a good one, and at -115, under 11.5, I may bite.

"the bunker"
i was looking at the under 8.5 in john duddy/yory boy campas.....

duddy is a young,USUALLY "balls to the wall" kinda fighter....he CAN BE aggression personified.....

or,he can ride the jab to the win....

yory boy is 35...and immobile....he looks like he`s become a much slower puncher as he`s aged...and moved up in weight....

another latino left hooker...who has to be inside to score meaningful shots....and he can punch....

he`ll be right there for duddy...right in front...

yory boy was always fairly resilient...but,the better guys usually stopped him....

given the ages here.....duddy`s speed advantage.....and imo, power advantage....

this could be ugly....yory boy could take a beating...

will duddy take a few chances?.....will he try and be impressive or just punish yory boy with that jab?.....

this will probably be a beat down...with yory taking big punishment.....

he`s capable of lasting 8.5...it`s up to duddy,though.......

perfect set-up...old,name fighter..alot of milage on campas....

.immobile....naturally smaller.....made to order for duddy to look impressive at m.s.q. in front of a slew of adoring, fellow micks....

i have to think a little longer...at 9.5 it`s definitely worth a shot....

thinking.......

Thanks for the heads up. I will investigate your theory. As far as Corrales-Casamayor, the verdict isn't in. I'm not even sure I like Corrales that much anymore! It's next week so we have time.

i wouldn`t suggest anyone throw down on the duddy under.....if it were a 10`er,i`d say o.k....but,it`s 12,from what i`m reading....

and i wonder if duddy will pace himself because it is a 12 rounder....

i would like to see it,though...

i have never been a big corrales guy....but,i think that casamayor has slipped a bit...

this time around,i like corrales..i`ll probably parlay him...with kessler......i think their last fight, corrales found the formula for beating casa...i felt that he was in control...particularly late....he was cautious...used his height......

casamayor seemed a bit leery of corrales in their last fight....

glad i had second thoughts.....and duddy really struggled with the old man....

if taylor, winky,or any number of top middles fight campas, they beat him like a red headed stepchild....

we learned something about duddy......he`s not a "top" middleweight.....

Good for you. I'm having reservations about Casamayor-Corrales being stopped. After watching their last fight again, I don't know. Casamayor is adamant about taking Corrales out. But so have many guys said so also and it never happened. But, it may leave him open for Corrales to catch him. Joel isn't as fast as he once was, and I think Corrales may be looking to open up the industrial size can of ass-whoop after the Castillo fiasco. Also I think Monte Barrett gets demolished. He fights like he is sleep walking. I think the giant is somewhat of a circus attraction, but Monte is a mook never the less. Would like to find something to parlay with the 7 footer as -500 don't get it.

Corrales hasn't fought since the Castillo beating, inactive for almost a year. Casa has fought twice this year, the last being only 3 months ago

I know everyone thinks Casamayor has slipped a little lately, but I noticed in the last fight that he had a very soft belly. Casa's body is usually ripped so theres' no dought that he took Pearson lightly and didn't train properly.

In the post fight interview, Casa only wanted to talk about the Corrales rematch, and how bad he wanted that fight.

Win or lose...you'll see a much more focused Casamayor next weekend, and his belly will be far from soft

WEST COAST
After my recent west coast trip, all I can say is even though I didn't think this would be a good spot for Corrales, this fight should be a doosie...

And with these two fighters you can be assured by the time the fight is over there will be some sort of controversy as well.

Yea, there are a lot of gray areas. So it begs the question, is this a good fight to bet, or just watch and enjoy? Chico, i feel, doesn't fight dirty, but Joel does have a reputation as getting a little nasty. If he does his, we may see Corrales go ape-shit, and who can figure that out? Oh well, I'll wait for more info to surface before committing.

me think its a bad fight to bet. me number 1 reason are chico not very good against movement. everytime, chico must set his foot to punch. joel are elusive and is hard to hit. me second reason are joel's age is questionable very much. joel two last fight not very impressive. this fight are even money

ahihihihihihi

"the bunker"
me come to boxing forum and end up up in "area 51"?.......lol

i`m kidding,godson...welcome...i liked the remarks about chico needing to be set to punch....very true.........

my lying eyes seemed to tell me that the last two times i watched casa,he looked as though he`s slipped a bit.....ramirez and pearson aren`t world class,imo....

as i said,no big corrales fan...but,casa hasn`t been exactly scintillating.....and he is 35 years old...

i think casa`s proven that if he isn`t afraid,he can hurt corrales consistenrtly....

i think in the 2 fights, casa had chico down several times....and casa got caught once....pulling out with his hands down...

but,if he stands outside..like he did in "2",he`ll lose again...

imo, casa has to try and hurt chico...he can do that....he`s done it...i think it may have something to do with that lefty stance....

as we saw in "2",he stood outside...he did score a knockdown...but was still behind on points....because he was to cautious....

but, also,as we saw with casa vs castillo,he`s very reticent as he ages with guys that can hurt him....

castillo was chasing him late like he owed him money...split decision?...bullshit....just like the split in the second casa/corrales fight was bullshit...he lost both fights clearly...and i had him in the second corrales fight...

what may make this fight interseting is that in the last two fights...vs ramirez and pearson, casa stood his ground...he got hit a little more...but he did stop both guys....

will we see the castillo/corrales 2 casa?.....or the corrales 1/pearson/ramirez casa?....

that carryover from the last 2 fights....the stoppages.......may embolden casa....and i honestly think he has a better chance if he tries to hurt chico...he`s better defensively...a little side to side movement mixed with some power shots....

he has to forget "2"...and go back to what he did in "1"....

Judging from what gw and box have opinionated, I think we see a shootout. I feel Diego has some pent up steam from the Castillo fight that wasn't. Joel it seems is itching to make some noise, loud noise. Will this be a boxing match or a fight? I lean towards the latter. So what's my point? Well, will it be stopped? My heart says yes, but my limited mental faculty says no. I think Pinny has over 10.5 as a prop. I feel it goes at least that far. But honestly, I don't LOVE IT!
