That'll get your blood pumpin':scared
I had an experience like that with a Black Bear, it only lasted about 30 seconds, but of course it seemed like 30 minutes. I was with two dogs, thankfully they didn't see the bear, if so, things could have ended poorly for me and the dogs. If the dogs ran at the bear I was fucked. If two dogs run at a bear the bear is going to defend himself which of course would have been death for the doggies and most likely a dead kickserv. And yes I would have ran after the dogs (tried to save them), so yep, probably would have been a bad ending for kickservkurby
Back to that video......I am not sure the cougar was in full stalk mode, more curious then stalking prey. If that Cougar wanted to attack that dude it would have been a sneak attack, not slowly walking down a path. But with that said, it would be a bit scary having a big cat follow you around. It is also possible the hiker walked close to the den and that cougar was just a parent that was protecting their young. Once the hiker was far enough away the cougar took off.
On more then one occasion I have had a coyote follow me in the woods (2/3 minutes), like cougars they stay away from humans (most of the time). When they see a human they usually just want to check you out for bit and then move on. Well unless you come close to their babies, then well, that's different.
I never go on walks with her, but sometimes we go bowling together, or we just hang out and do some crocheting.
