So. Cal
Did anyone catch SNL tonight! I keep wanting to like SNL but they are getting unfunnier every week it seems. (besides lazy sunday)

But Steve Martin hosting tonight was TERRIBLE. His comedy basically consisted of bad accents. Like we havent had enough of the highlights of Pink Panther ads. Amboogar Amburgar Amburger HAHAHAHA that is soooo funny steve.

It was subpar. But that is SNL. You gotta take the good with the bad. For some reason people constantly bad mouth it. The most common phrase is "It is worse every year."

But in reality it has its great moments every year and produces great talent every year. It is just easier to criticize it, than to recognize when it kicks ass.

I don't know, you just gotta give it some leeway considering it is a live 90 minute show, basically created out of thin air every week. It all can't be golden.

That being said, it did suck tonight, and it caters too much to certain stars' current movie/project, and past record for being funny... no matter how bad they are in a given year.

On the course!
The guy made a better actor than comedian.

I never understood how anyone thought he was EVER funny.

"EXCUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

And the whole crowd errupts? WTF? That could only go over in the 70's.

"I'm just a wild, and a crazy guy!"

I heard once that the "better" skits are put in the beginning of each show, since more people are watching at that time and they want to keep the audience. However after last nights Oprah skit(1st) I would question that theoy. My tv was turned off before the skit was even over.

I've always thought that Steve Martin was overrated for the most part, but The Jerk is one of my favorite comedies of all time.
