Well if the Yankees suck, what's that say about the Red Sox? By the way, thanks again for selling Babe Ruth to us.

If I can make it there I'll make it anywhere, it's up to you NY, NY!!!!!!!!!! :thefinger :moon:

Blitz,

No need to be jealous of the Yankees. The Red Sox are a great team this year with a great history. They have had pretty much consistently good teams through the years & have had great matches against the Yanks.

Boston has had great sports teams over the years. You had the Celtics with all their championships, while we had to suffer with the Knicks. You also had the Bruins, while we had the miserable Rangers.

BTW,have you been watching ESPN Classics station. They have shows dedicated to Williams all day today & parts of tomorrow. One show that I found interesting was an interview he did with Roy Firestone.Williams said that as long as he lives he will never say that he was a better hitter than Cobb,Ruth,& Gehrig. He was truly a great hitter, eventhough he played for the Sox.

I love sports history,no matter the teams or the players.

couldn't resist either

couldn't resist either

Sorry you feel that way blitz, hey at least there is a good rivarly going. Probably one of the best ones in sports. If a strike happens it will kill the close race between the 2 teams. It will be nice to see this till october. I love baseball hopefully the players and owners love it as much as the fans. Just being at yankee stadium watching the yanks is a big thrill for me. Hopefully I'll be there when the red sox come to town. :D

The shame is people blame Buckner for the loss but, the lead had already been blown. I blame it on Rich Gedman, they gave Bob Stanley a wild pitch but, it was a very catchable ball that Gedman just waved at, it should have been a passed ball!
