First Senior major and a new venue...why do they have to make it so hard?!

Nicklaus design looks fairly open in desert environment, a couple of short almost reachable par fours and easy to get to fives, but one monster par 5 and a 240 yd par three which should have a few of the old boys bringing out the baffies!!

Not many UK books joining in just yet, but hopefully they will tomorrow.

John Jacobs - 66/1 Centrebet, SIAS and betandwin - likes desert courses, lives locally, gives it a whack, and has had an age-defying season

Wayne Levi - 66/1 as above - green as they come rookie who has started well and could improve past some of the senior seniors!

AND, unusually, a couple of match bets, which I'm sure Stanley would agree with if he had a pc (Should spend some of his Kerr winnings)

Zoeller v Davis

Doyle v Pooley

may be a little simplistic in terms of analysis (you know i'm not into that DTB!) but inb the events they have played together this year, Zoeller leads 5-1, and Doyle leads 5-2.

All prices seem pretty much of a muchness - so have gone for the 33/1 Gilder at Ladbrokes and Stan James - consistent proven winner who is regularly overpriced, the only big discrepancy I could find was on Bobby Wadkins - quite liked him myself and would have thought 33/1 was fair - 50/1 at Hills and Centrebet is probably just over - surprised that Ladbrokes only go 10/1:eek:

Not for me. New course being used this week, so event history is not that important and he has not been playing well this year. Best finish by a long way was 4th in the Audi and that was a very weak field in Mexico.

Sorry DTB, been away for a couple of days, hence the early selections this week.

Already started but have been disappointed with Canizares so far this year...wonder if age is catching up with him...sure I read somewhere the average age of the winner of this event is 52, which is even lower than the normal senior ave.

Leaders thro 3 holes and you can already see this is not a major-standard course! -2 already

Seems easy to figure out to me. Stan's site down, so the bookies couldn't make their lines. You don't think we're the only ones using his stats, do you? LOL

Geez Clive, sounds like you want a date  :p ;)

It's pity Victor Chandler don't seem to be offering free tickets for the Victor Chandler British Masters again. On the golf course would seem to be the ideal location for a UK MadJack convention :D
