couple acquitted in Ted Binion's murder

If you read "positively 5th street" by Janes McManus, his book ( as well as several others) is about this case. Interesting stuff. Could a Las Vegas resident offer any 'local' information to this story?

Interesting take on the book, Kotysdad...

I found myself just as interested in the trial as his playing in the WSOP. Maybe its because of strippers, druggies, rich guys and Las Vegas equals crazy times.....

I enjoyed the book but actually got bored with the trial part of the story. I found myself flipping ahead to get past it after about 100 pages. This acquittal though does surprise me....I dont know, maybe it shouldnt, but it did.

I would also be curious to hear Fletcher's or Senor's take on this trial, as it probably got much more press coverage out there than it did back east here.

They were set up from the start of the first trial. big money family against the little person, everyone out here in gaming Knew Ted had major drug problems and the murder rap just did not fly and most felt it was a set up out here after the first trial, I watched them both live out here,local tv. IMO they did not kill him he killed himself, as for the other stuff about the silver I think rick is guilty but sandy knew nothing about it, she did not even know there was a vault at the ranch, I think the ranch handler and rick are guilty with the silver part of it. But most people thought they would walk the first time on the murder. This time they got it right, if not for the big time name it would of been not guilty on murder the first time. Yes she is a money hound but that is all, nw rick is a thief not a murder but a thief, and the deff in the first trail had jail house snitches paid to lie. This was a big waste of our tax money but least they got it right 2nd time around so far, she should not do anytime, and he should get more time for the theft or attempted theft. His sister Becky acted like she was so hurt the first trial hell she hated Ted.It was all about the family name.
