A federal appeals court on Tuesday upheld one of the first convictions of a defendant charged with running an illegal offshore Internet sports gaming operation. The U.S. Second Circut Court of Appeals affirmed last year's conviction of Jay Cohen, co-owner of the World Sports Exchange, based on the island of Antigua. Cohen, who was sentenced to 21 months in prison and a $5000 fine, has remained out on bail pending appeal.

Any of you lawyers out there, have you heard of this? Any idea of the details of the conviction? Does this mean I'm going to have to start to look over my shoulder as Big Brother might be watching? I found this story on the web along with another story that Casino gaming is legal and Sports gaming is not, why is this? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
