Interesting move by both teams. The Pelicans have nobody at SG/SF or backup PG.
Kings got basically nothing in return
Vlade Divac is on crack!!
While he added protected 1st round pick and a 2nd round pick, his statement was, "This upcoming draft is one of the strongest in the last 10 years!" Really? So there is an Anthony Davis or Kahwi Leonard or Kyrie Irving or a Joel Emiid or a Devin Booker in this draft? Come on Vlade!! You may have played with the Lakers and saw how Jerry West built a team at one time, but if you are learning under Mitch Kup-chek Kupchak, you are a big fool.
Rudy Gay is done with injury, you trade Boogie, you get Tyreke, who's not a bad player, but he can't hold Boogies jock strap and Buddy Hield had a great senior year and he'll learn the NBA game as long as he keeps his hand out of players jock straps, LOL, you will probably have your own 1st round pick, but this year's draft doesn't have the type of players to help this Sacramento Kings team compete for 3-4 years. It's not how have you done in the past, it's how you have done lately and that mode will continue for all new GMs, HCs and that goes for College HCs as well. Results quickly is what owners and administrators/boosters want, not talk and rhetoric.
Pelican's have Holiday, Davis, Cousins as their main 3 and that's better than what the Wizards have up front but not in the backcourt, same with the Pacers, Jazz could add one more player and since Kings waived Barnes, perhaps Pels will pick him up cheap.
Frazier and Moore are young, but have not been big factors scoring, big men Asiik and Ajinca and Monte christo offer some hope for rebounds and some "D" but don't expect AD & Boogie to score 60 pts and 30 bounds per game as an average, it ain't happen-nen!
Steal for Pels, bad reach for Kings.
