I make a three team, 4team and 5 team parlay and then I make 6point teasers with the same bets. This weeks plays: $100 parlays and teasers. Over in the chicago game 39.5 Seattle+7/ Minny over 44.5. My 4 teamer Saints -4.5 And under39.5. Cincy-2 over 35. My 5 teamer Saints/Bears-7 Giants=10.5/ Dolphins-3/ Vikings-10. I make my bets on Fridays to get the best odds. My sportsbook gives me 28 to 1 on the 5 teamer.Any advice will be appreciated. I value your opinions.

honestly, regardless of your plays you need to get rid of all of the parley/teaser stuff. play your games straight up. once in a while you will have a good week playing with all the parleys/teasers, but in the long run it will bite you in the ass. glancing at your plays they seem fine except for minn, i will be on the other side this weekend. minn. should not be favored by 10 to anyone. if you must parley, do it for fun, but don't go more than 3 team parleys. i think out of all your plays your best 3 teamer is saints, bears, and seattle, IMHO. be careful with the giants. i mentioned this last week, but the rams are clicking right now and seem to be able to beat anyone by 2 td's. statistically the rams defense is better than the giants as well. warner is insane right now and with all of his jesus talk i wouldn't be surprised if JC himself isn't guiding those balls into the receivers' hands because this guy is just unconscious right now. don't mean to tell you what to do but i think all the parleys/teasers will eat your money up. gl!!

I hear what your saying, I just can't resist the odds. I make my plays on Fridays. 3 teamer at 7to 1 4 teamer at 12-1 and 5 teamer at 28 to 1!!! So far I have hit the three team parlay once 4 teamer twice 5 teamer 0. I have hit the teasers pretty regularly. I'm up a few bucks for the year, and I'm going after that big 28 to 1 shot. If I hit it once It's all gravy from there on in.

i personally find straight bets boring. i would have to get into the thousands per game level to get something out of it, and i just won't do it. betting all that to end up with plus 5-15 thou in a good season is not my idea of a good return for my money. a good business idea and follow thru will return many, many times over those numbers.

i enjoy football to the hilt, especially with the betting associated with it. as far as my record, i leave that for the contest. the other stuff is just plain fun for me.

you don't want to hear about my wild plays:

10-8-6-4 team parlays and 10 team teasers, with an occasional 7-8 team teaser. nolan, are you there? jack kind of forced some of us to join acesgold and i love it. actually i bet only a fraction of what i would do with a bookie, and don't have to wait for busy numbers or have a play refused.

only problem is that we need a second nfl football season to keep some of us busy at least 8 months out of the year.

look for visiting team dogs that you feel will win outright and do both the dog and the over. be very selective; you will get two for the price of one, and half a leg on a 4 parlay. if you find 2 strong plays like that in a week, it just takes 2 teams to put together the 4 parlay.

Despite what Pep says, parlays are a bad bet. Nolan wrote a good article about this exact point last week. There is 13% vig on a 2 team parlay and more on a 3 or 4 team parlay. See if you can find his article and read it.
My own betting system is that I play 5 games a week (games I use in Aces Gold and other contests)straight up. Then I back them up with a 2 team 6 pt teaser and a 3 team 10 pt teaser. Most of the time if I lose a straight up bet the game will be close enough where I hit the teaser bet.
As I said I saw %s on the parlay bet but I never saw any %s on the teaser bet to indicate if its a bad bet or not. In fact 1 offshore casino where I bet does not charge me vig on a 2 team 6 pt teaser. Its an even money bet.
