Hey, Raymond-1975--

good to see you, too. I've been around a bit. Hows things with you?

Hawkeyes should be a contender in the Big-10 this season as the league once again will be extreamely weak from top to bottom. Only question will be the health of Banks, the starting QB. If he goes down, we will be in trouble as the back-ups are red-shirt freshmen or a JUCO transfer that have never played a down in D-I football. Outstanding and experienced offensive line should make it easy to establish the running game and the defensive line, while losing a lot, has a lot coming back. We shouldn't be any worse than 8-4, but again, a healthy Banks at QB will be the key.

Still waiting for the weather here to turn decent to get down to JOD to see the Twins' #1 pick from last season-- a catcher by the name of Joe Maurer. He's the kid the Cubs passed on because he wanted too big of a signing bonus. Think the Twins ended up giving him 6 Mil over 6 years or something. Supposed to be the real deal. They didn't think he would be here very long this season, but he hasn't got off to that good of a start, so he might spent the whole first half of the season here.

Good luck on all your wagers.....
