i plan on claiming $$ made *babysitting* on my federal tax return...... first off, am i required to somehow pay social security tax on this money, and how in the HELL do i go about doing that?? LOL

shouldn't be much trouble if u are claiming income. If your were claiming the child care as a paid out expense and therefore trying to make it a tax deduction, u would have to include the provider's ss # or business, or at least that's what I rememeber doing back in '96 when I had to do that (I keep them at home now!).

I wouldn't want u to do anything, "illegal", but if the person who paid u did so in cash and is not going to claim it on their taxes, I wouldn't worry about it!
