NFP today - +244k jobs?
Birth/death model accounts for: +175k
McDonald's job fair accounts for: +62k
so, the rest of the economy accounted for 7k jobs?
And this is good news? Seriously?
And more from the BLS:
....while the labor participation rate remained flat, the total number of people not in the labor force as an absolute number hit a new all time record of 86.248 million. And just as relevantly, the total number of "people who want a job now" jumped by 232,000 from March to April to 6.482 million, just short of the previous record of 6.643 million.
Maybe if we are all lucky, Burger King and Arby's and Pizza Hut will hold job fairs next month and find minimum wage jobs for all of these people.
