Odds and Chassis

Jimmie Johnson +550 Chassis No. 461 Johnson drove this chassis to two victories last fall ? at Martinsville (Oct. 2007) and Phoenix (Nov. 2007).

Kyle Busch +650 No word yet
.
Carl Edwards +650 Chassis: RK-587, (A brand new chassis)

Tony Stewart Chassis No. 161:This chassis saw its first action at Martinsville (Va.) in April 2007, where it qualified seventh and finished seventh, leading 11 laps in the process. Prior to the Martinsville race, its only track time came during a March 27 test at the half-mile Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Greenville, S.C., where former Joe Gibbs Racing development driver Aric Almirola shook it down. Chassis No. 161 had been idle since Martinsville until the No. 20 team tested it at the half-mile New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway Sept. 4 in preparation for its second career start at the fall New Hampshire race. There, Chassis No. 161 started sixth and led 39 laps before finishing third. It was tested a third time on Oct. 9 at the .455-mile Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, N.C., as the team readied Chassis No. 161 for its third career start at Martinsville in October. It qualified a disappointing 34th for that race, but rallied to pick up 21 positions en route to a respectable 13th-place finish. Chassis No. 161 was re-bodied as a Toyota Camry during the off-season and saw its first laps as a Toyota during a test at Phoenix March 3-4. It made its first start of 2008 at Phoenix in April, where in its fourth career start but first as a Toyota, Chassis No. 161 qualified 12th and finished 14th.

Denny Hamlin +800 Chassis JGR 166 hes hoping it will perform as well on the .75-mile RIR track as it did when Denny Hamlin drove it to a win at Martinsville only four races ago. In 2007, this car scored top-five finishes at Darlington (2nd - 5/07) and Dover (4th - 6/07) and qualified third at Dover in the fall before a wreck forced Hamlin to the garage and out of the race.

Qualifying

Casey Mears over Brian Vickers -115 winner

Casey Mears brings chassis 464 same one he used at Phoenix had a great practice was 5th fastest but qualified 30th and was still good enough to cover Vickers (33rd).Mears has started 15th and 23 rd here last year in the cot and Vickers started 35th and 28th.I`m taking a shot, its the best match up that I`ve seen yet.

Carl Edwards in the Nationwide with Denny Hamlin in the Sprint. 62-1.

Edwards brings the same car he used at Phoenix and finished 2nd.(behind Kyle Busch).Lost this race on pit road with a late caution.

After hitting a couple of winners in a row I'm gonna try some longer odds this week, including a crazy parlay...

I almost bet on Mark Martin in Phoenix and he probably should have won that race and I almost bet on David Ragan last week and he was strong all day and finished 4th. Time for me to throw a little coin behind those two...

To win:

#6 (45-1)
#8 (12-1)
#9 (20-1)
#18 (6-1)
#29 (10-1)

Matchups:

Parlay---
#6 over #5
#07 over #17

Parlay---
#48 over #88
#9 over #12
#6 over #5
#07 over #17
#8 over #1
#18 over #11
#20 over #99--- $10 to win $825 :SIB

Shot in the dark Derby plays:

Cool Coal Man (20-1)
Bob Black Jack (20-1)
