Odds and Chassis
Jimmie Johnson +480 Johnson has driven primary chassis No. 520 four times previously and has won the race each of those four times. Those races include last year?s fall events at Richmond, Martinsville and Phoenix, and Martinsville this season.
Kyle Busch +600
Denny Hamlin +600 JGR 238 this weekend at Richmond. This car has one start - a second place finish at Martinsville in March of this year when Hamlin led a race-high 296 laps.
Tony Stewart +800
Jeff Gordon +800
Kurt Busch +900
Mark Martin +900 chassis 470. Previously, it raced at Phoenix in 2008, where it was driven to a sixth-place finish after a 42nd-place start.
Carl Edwards +1000 chassis RK-587 to Richmond this weekend. This chassis last raced at Martinsville in March, where Edwards looked to be on his way to a top-five finish before cutting a tire and ultimately finishing two laps down. Edwards most notably raced this Ford Fusion at Pocono Raceway in August of 2008, where Edwards scored the win. This chassis was raced four times in 2008, and achieved top-10 finishes in each race, but one (Richmond in May - seventh, Pocono in June - ninth, Pocono in August - first and Richmond in September - 13th).
Greg Biffle +1800
Dale Earnhardt Jr +1800 Chassis No. 88- 541. This is a brand new chassis that never has been tested or raced.
Matt Kenseth +2200
Kevin Harvick +2800 Chassis No. 212 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable in this weekend?s Crown Royal 400 at Richmond International Raceway. This is the same car Harvick?s RCR teammate, Casey Mears, raced to a 20th-place finish two races ago at Phoenix International Raceway and a 21st-place finish at Martinsville Speedway in March. Clint Bowyer piloted this chassis to Victory Lane at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in September 2007, and won again with it in this race one year ago at Richmond International Raceway.
Clint Bowyer +2800 Chassis No. 218 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. This Chevrolet Impala SS debuted in March at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway where Bowyer started third and finished fifth.
Jeff Burton +3500 Chassis No. 255 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable in this weekend?s Crown Royal 400. Built new for 2008, this is the same Chevy Impala SS Burton drove to a 21st-place finish at Pocono last August where a late-race pit road penalty cost him a potential top-five finish. Two weeks later, the veteran driver piloted this machine to an 11th-place effort at Michigan. He then drove this chassis to a seventh-place finish at Kansas, a 13th-place effort at Texas in November and then capped off the season at Homestead-Miami where myriad handling issues, coupled with a mid-race incident, relegated Burton to a 40th-place result. Since then, this No. 31 racer has been converted from its original downforce configuration into a short-track car. It made its 2009 debut at Martinsville in March where Burton finished 15th.
