Cubs have wilted under the pressure.
Take Barrett for example.
1st AB Runners 1st and 3rd, one out,one run in. He swings at bad pitch with 2-0 count, hits little tapper back to pitcher, Next batter Wood K's, Braves get out of the inning allowing no more runs.
2nd AB Runners 1st and 2nd, one out. Barrett swings at first pitch and hits easy double play ball to shortstop.
3rd AB Leading off the seventh inning, Barrett swings at first pitch and grounds out to shortstop.
Do you have to swing at the first pitch that is close to a strike ??????????

They had it gifted wrapped, 4 with pittsburgh went 2-2. 3 with the mets went 0-3. and 4 with the reds and they went 1-3. now 6 outs away of letting the goat eat the grass. there is no way in hell that astros and giants lose all 3 games . i hate to see it like i said i like to watch them play but if you go back in my threads over the years here and i will say it again when dusty has to manage where it really counts and that is only about 35 games out of 160+ where the manager really needs to make the right call he is poor at it, yes the bats went cold but look at yesterday as a example pitching to a guy who drove in the winning run when he should of been walked due to shear stats you had to walk him, and i can count at least 8 games because i keep notes on things like this that i saw when waving Wendel lost games or chance to at least tie in the 9th buy sending runners home with less the 2 outs and all were ko'ed at the dish.
there will be lots of old style drank tonight in the windy city those from c-town know the beer , so they can forget about the last week and hope they make a trade to get the goat out of C-town
