QB
1. Eil Manning (no other college quarterback can read a defense and make the appropiate adjustments at the line..no bias of course, some talk about his numbers, keep in mind that Ole Miss ran the ball more more than they passed it.)
2. Matt Leinart (even though i agree that the pac-10 is week, he is a great qb)

?)Ben Rothlisberger ( i wish that i could of seen him play a better schedule than the MAC, this way we could see how he performs against teams that actually play defense)

Nice Job. I agree with your list for the most part. Glad we can agree on something.

Without question, Udeze should have been on your DL list. The guy ended the year #1 sack leader in the nation (including bowl games). The guy is an animal.

Nice WR list, Mike Williams should have been #1 IMO. According to NFL scouts, Williams is the best WR in college football. I agree.

Agree Matt Leinart is #2 but he put up the same #'s against Michigan and Michigan had a top 5 defense and a top secondary in the country. So I guess the Pac 10 is not so weak. Plus the Pac 10 did well in the bowl season. (i do agree it was a down year for the pac 10). I think a better argument against Leinart is he has sooo much more talent around him than other QB in the nation. It is not fair.

For your RB list, if you not just going by stats, you have to put Jackson from Oregon St. in the top 3.

Nice coaching list. Myer was a very good honorable mention choice. My top 5 head coaches are.....
#1 Carroll
#2 Saban
#3 Tressel
#4 Stoops
#5 Ferentz (Iowa coach)

***Most up and coming head coach, TEDFORD without question. This guy will be a top 5 head coach of college football within the next 2 years.

I also think you were little too hard on Mack Brown. (i know you were being sarcastic). I would rate Brown a top 15 head coach. (coaching+recruiting+state of program all factored in)

Once again, nice list and interesting thread. Should be interesting to hear more replies and opinions. :thumb:
