Syracuse 69 Memphis 60<p>
This is the best young team Boeheim has had in years. He also has the Nations best freshman in Carnello Anthony. This kid is a one man recking crew. In their lone exhibition game he hit for 37 points, 9 rebounds and committed just 1 TO in a convincing 93-74 win over Nike Elite team. In the game Nike collected just 8 offensive rebounds. Tells us alot about this years rendition of the Orangemen. <br>
Memphis comes in hot off the NIT championship key suspension to Guard Burks and injury to freshman Thiero Almany who the Tigers have high hopes for. Their first game was uninspiring as they defeated a team of ex college players 72-68. The team lost a few key players to graduation as well and with the Cuse playing what could be construde as a home game get a bonus 3 points on our power ratings. <br>
The way I see it, Anthony can't be stopped this early in the season allowing the Orangemen to take the season opener. 2 years ago they won the Alaska Shootout. They wont win this one but they will take game #1 of the season.<br>
