Wonder what others here experience has been with customer service with their various sportsbooks and how that relates to the "quality" of the book.

YYZ made a comment in another thread that how quickly a book's customer service department responds to an email request is a major factor in determining whether to use the book. I fully agree.

I have been with Olympic for several years and they always respond pronto to my email requests and have done so again this year. I've been with Pinnacle since last year and they were very responsive last year and particularly yesterday while I was attempting to move funds first by credit card and then by Western Union wire. Also had excellent response from the folks at Canbet yesterday with several email requests.

On the other hand......an email to a new book I was considering, MVP, took over 24 hours to respond and a book I did business with last year, Bet Gameday, has yet to respond to an email I sent yesterday regarding obtaining wire instructions to reload my account. Sent a similar email at the same time to Pinnacle and got a response in about ten minutes. Bet Gameday will not see any money from me this year.

Any other experiences out there?

Hi Mickey,

I am sorry that you did not receive our email response, as we are staffed 24 hours per day 7 days per week to respond to your inquiries. As you may know, there is a major virus making its way around the internet right now, and we have experienced some minor issues with email as a result of this. The fact that you did not receive our reply is likely a technical issue, as no emails go unanswered.

I would also like to point out that we have a Live Chat link on our site that is staffed 24 hours per day, and you can use that anytime.

If you want to send me an email directly I can make sure you get the wiring instructions.

Anything else, please let me know.

Regards,
Blake

It took me several hours to get my response from these guys, as well. I finally just sent the cash in. My hope is to do my minimum, and get out with some cash. The site is very slow, as well, and I am not crazy about that software format.

I guess I don't like them! :D

FWIW: Carib has the FASTEST response from any sportsbook I have ever used!!!

20 cent baseball line sucks, but customer service is second to none!

just my 2 cents.

mickey, when i saw your post this morning i sent gameday an email and it was responded to, on this forum, almost immediately.

maybe they are having some problems with email, i know i am.

if i was ONLY permitted to bet into 5 books in the world, gameday would definitely be on that list.

top notch sportsbook and CS and if you don't get to play there, you'll never know.

just my 2 cents on the customer service from the 3 books that i use:

olympic......online email customer service is professional and very timely...im always very pleased with their email response time... however i think their live phone customer service is garbage... theyre the ONLY BOOK i know who live operators sound almost disgusted to be taking your call.... its like they are unhappy with their job and they make you feel like theyre doing you a favor by helping you out.... its really quite surprising...because their email service is pretty solid

vipsports....theyre the opposite of olympic.....they have extremely nice phone operators....very pleasant....and their live chat on the computer is excellent....but their email response time has gone to sh1t... they used to be my #1 book because i could always count on getting a prompt email response to any query...but it takes them forever..... which is a shame because their payouts are superfast, supereasy, and their phone operators are great.... but their email response time needs a lot of work

carib.....for some reason, ive never called any phone bets into carib so i cant speak on how their operators are, but their email memo system is absolutely the best you will find.... extremely professional and extremely courteous.... vip used to be my #1 because of their solid all around customer service but carib has overtaken them imo.... if carib offered a dimeline for baseball, i wouldnt play at any other book.... but since they have the bullsh1t 20 cent line, they only get sporadic action from me

Blake at Gameday.......

Thanks for the post. Your post however states, in two instances, that you responded to my email and I just never received it. Now how do you know who I am and what my email stated? Would you like to provide a copy for me of what your response was and tell me exactly when it was sent?

I think you did not respond to my email but I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that it was probably because you may not have received it. In checking my email from yesterday it was sent to memberservices@betgameday.com and when I decided to re-send it earlier this evening it was returned as "undeliverable." My guess is that this is no longer a valid email address or is being sent to a server that is having delivery problems. The address comes directly from a "contact us" link provided on your website in the Western Union section. Obviously, you should fix that as others besides myself may be turned off by not getting a response.

Jack.......

Thanks for the intervention. That is some recommendation for Gameday by the way.

As I stated, I used them last year and was looking to do so again this year until I was turned off by their no response. I also think Blake was a bit condescending in his response that "no email goes unanswered" which implied that they definitely responded and it wasn't their fault that I didn't receive it. As I stated above I think their website has a screwed up link which needs to be fixed. Maybe if they will admit to that error on their part instead of focusing more on trying to save face I'll re-up with them this season.

No offenese but I think you took his response the wrong way. I think what he meant was that every e-mail is important and they get back to everyone. The LIve Chat works very well, I think if you have several outs you are really missing out by not using Gameday.

Monster........

No offense taken. Appreciate your input.

Still trying to decide what to do. Have already re-upped with Olympic and Pinnacle. Would like to work with four books so that leaves two to decide on. Considering VIP and Canbet. Really want to add a couple that can provide lines that will deviate from the norm. Nothing more frustrating to me than having four outs and they all have the same lines.
