Been watching the board for a while so this is my official first post.
Being a former college baller I can appreciate Rice being favored in this spot...
great pitching
good hitting
great defense
That being said and having played Stanford in the past I gotta like Stanford and the number. Marquis is a fantastic coach and these kids can flat out rake. I would imagine they go with Romancuk (spelling??) today. He is not great but is solid. Niemann for Rice is a horse, but I dont know how many quality hitting teams he has faced??? Looking at their schedule they really have not faced a hitting team like Stanford.
Stanford on the other hand plays in arguably the toughest league in the country with each team having a pitcher like Rice has. There should be no surprises today for the Cardinal.
This number is too big to pass up...and remember College ball is not pro ball...usually pitchers dont dominate as much.
