"We want to let the world know that we want to make this fight," UFC president Dana White told "UFC Tonight" reporter Ariel Helwani. "Ronda wants this fight, everyone wants this fight to happen. But she needs to make 135 outside the UFC."
Justino (13-1-1) signed the deal with Zuffa before her last fight with Invicta in February. White said the plan is for her to fight for Invicta in July at 145 pounds. Then around the end of the year, she will make her first attempt at the bantamweight limit of 135 pounds. If she is successful in making the weight, a date with Rousey is all but assured.

I`m not so sure.....I doubt that they`ll ever put rousey in with cyborg at anything other than 135 because they know that cyborg can`t make 135 and be even a shell of herself......


they figure they`ll demand the unattainable and if cyborg actually does kill herself making the weight,tthat gives rousey an enormous advantage....but I`m pretty sure white knows 135 ain`t gonna happen for cyborg.....

many,many champions that want to test themselves against the best agree to a catch weight in combat sports(it happens in boxing all the time).....nick diaz made the mistake of moving all the way up to 185 to fight Anderson silva(a shrewd dana white move considering silva is a big ufc money maker and white hates diaz).....

it`s ridiculous to expect cyborg to bear the entire 10 pound brunt of the weight cut to move down to 135...it`s probably dangerous to boot.....and it`s bogus to make the excuse that it has to be at a legitimate ufc weight class limit because they know that if cyborg actually half kills herself making 135,it will be one time only...she won`t reign as the 135 pound champion if she beats rousey...that weight cut could kill her....

and it`s not like rousey is against catchweight fights...she`s just against catchweight fights with cyborg.....

let em both give 5 pounds and do it at a one time catch of 140.......if she beats rousey they still have the fall back position of claiming that rousey lost to a naturally bigger woman....and she can continue to be the 135 pound champ....

I don`t think it will happen because a loss would severely tarnish the rousey brand and her aura of invincibility(even though white and rousey would have a legit argument in saying that rousey lost to a naturally bigger woman)......

either make it at a catch weight or put it to bed....I doubt if 135 happens...it probably shouldn`t happen....
