The Mets face a tall task tonight when they take on Diamondbacks ace Dan Haren tonight in the finale of a four-game series at Citi Field.
Not only is Haren one of the top pitchers in all of baseball with 10 wins and a 2.19 ERA, but the Mets will be countering with Triple-A call up Nelson Figueroa because Jerry Manuel didn't want Johan Santana pitching on three days rest.
Figueroa was on a roll at Buffalo, though, going 7-1 with a 1.51 ERA over his past 10 starts en route to being tabbed an International League All-Star.
