The high-flying Dallas Mavericks play the second of back-to-back games tonight when they travel to Denver to take on the struggling Nuggets.
The Mavs are 21-3 SU and 15-9 ATS this season after thrashing Indiana at home last night 118-97. But they have covered just one of their last five road games and the only other time this season when they were installed as a DD road fave they failed to cover in a 103-99 win over the Cavaliers. Dirk Nowitzki is listed as questionable tonight.
The Nuggets are 6-19 SU and 11-14 ATS this season. Tonight is their first home game following a four-game road trip that finished with a bad loss at Philadelphia. They have only lost one of their last eight home games by more than tonight's line of 11 points.
The last five times these teams have clashed in Denver have resulted in four Dallas wins....by 1, 6, 7 and 12 points...and one SU Nuggets win by a single point.
There is always the fear of a huge blow-out loss when you're taking a DD dog, but we believe the Nuggets can keep it close enough tonight at home to get the cover.
