Someone earlier in the year, I can't remember if it was IE or ndnfan, stated to watch D'Amico later in the season, that he has a history of wearing down or getting injured. He has not pitched well lately could tonite be a good time to go against him or the over in that game. I saw that Jack was on the Mets tonite. Just would like a little input.

Thanks

Basically, D'Amico has had a lot of arm problems over the last couple years and I think all the innings so far this year is reasoning for his struggles lately.

Read where he lost some velocity and his famous curveball is rolling....more than likely due to the high innings thrown

Some interesting things kept me off this one. Both facing their former teams, so the revenge is something to consider. But they did already face their former teams once this season and D'Amico got rocked and Rusch pitched a gem, but both were also early in the year.

Had a lean towards Milwaukee in this one....no way will I touch D'Amico....then again, it's tough to play the Brewers!

D'Amico usually starts off fairly well, but seems to wear down right at the onset of the middle innings. He has lost a lot of velocity and was topping out around 85-86 a few starts ago. He still has a good breaking ball, but if it hangs in the zone, he'll get hammered.

Rusch doesn't impress me either. He didn't when he was a Met and still doesn't. The Mets have a terrible time hitting left handers so it wouldn't shock me if Rusch has a good game. I don't like to touch Met games because they always screw me somehow... Pretty fitting considering they are my team. If I had to make a call tonight, I'd bet the over. I could see D'Amico getting slammed tonight and Rusch giving up just enough to push it over. I'm usually wrong about this Met team because they are so inconsistent so take it for what you will.
