yep, seen it. 1st picture is at eye level how you see it.

it was carved from one block of marble and it took almost 4 years.

as you all know this statue presents David just before fighting Goliath:

There?s a theory for why David?s penis is so small, apart from the Greek influence. In 2005, two Florentine doctors published a paper arguing that David?s penis was shriveled by fear. When viewed from the front, David?s face actually looks frightened and concerned, because of his impending fight with the giant Goliath.

Yes and we have seen it also at Academia Museum in Florence. Great thing also is there is another outside on the largest Plaza that can be seen as well, as well as all the statues in Vecchio. By far, my number one favorite European city, with Barcelona and Paris 2nd and 3rd, if you ever have a chance for Italy skip Venice and the smell, and include it on your itinerary, as well as the day trip west to Cinq de Terre and the colorful colored houses on the coastline and its 5 villages. Stay right on the Vecchio Plaza and just take it all in for days. Europe may be cheaper than normal this summer and fall.

We did Venice, Florence and the cinque terre when we went to Italy 6 years ago. Couldn?t hike between all 5 villages due to a landslide the prior year, but the train took us to the ones we couldn?t hike to.
Piza was a quick stop but since we hadn?t made a reservation, we couldn?t go inside the tower.
Florence was amazing and wouldn?t hesitate to go back. Truly enjoyed Venice, too. We didn?t encounter the smells that many had warned us about
