Davy Lopes-Heat Struck

I realize it is unbearable in NYC with the heat-but is Davy Lopes even watching the game.
Mets runners on 1st and 3rd 2 outs. Leiter(pitcher) on deck-#8 hitter up. How can you not WALK Wilson to get to the pitchers slot?? Leiter is 1 for 38 on the year.
He then lets Wright hit to lead off the top of the inning and yanks him out of the game before the next inning starts. Mcewing then deposits the 1st at bat into the stands.
Milwaukee has some talent-but what is up with Lopes??

I am watching this game also and couldn't figure out how you let the pitcher lead off the 7th and then don't let him pitch the 8th....what sense does that make?

PLEASE Franco or Benitez picth a scoreless ninth! (Unlike last night, when two gohper balls killed the under.)
Can it happen two days in a row? Of course, but I hope not!
