Well I am now approaching 24 hours without a cigarette. Hopefully this will be last time I quit. I have a quit a couple times, cut down alot, but never totally rid it. Hopefully this is it. Damn things are too expensive, and just annoying. Last time we had a qiut smoking post on here, I think it really helped some people. Maybe this one can do the same. Also congrats to my bud nhl8810, I think hes had one cig in like a week in a half. Now if I could only get the freakin wife to quit. Jack, good luck on your Oct 1st date.:thumb:

DAY TWO

DAY TWO

Well I am not messing around this time. I went through the biggest test of them all today, I went to bar for a couple hours. And guess what, no smokes!! It wasnt too bad, I just grabbed a coffee stirrer lol, and I was alright. So far so good.....

Tim,

While the last 2 posts are no doubt inspirational, seriously, hang in there man.

Seeing family members and friends dropping one by one from smoking ain't a pretty sight and i'm sure that your loved ones wouldn't ever want to see you like that.

You're still very young, man. You get a do-over!

Keep at it, and if you need a fix at the SB party, i'll spot you a dip.

In a few short years

In a few short years

Your lungs will clean up, things will smell and taste better. You will notice that you now have $$ in your pockets.
No doubt you'll put on a few pounds.
But its definitely worth it

I smoked for 11 years and B4 we had my first born I quit cold turkey and NEVER looked back.

The stinch of smokers sickens me.
I can't believe I was actually one of them.

Yuck !
