Delaying Withdraws

All of these have happened to me over the years and eventually I got paid but, these are some of the tactics some books use just to delay sending you that payment.

1) When you open the account, they give you a PIN number that you never have to use to make a bet or even make a deposit but, when it's time to withdraw, they have to have that PIN number.

2) You change your address and you know it's proccessed because you get mail from the book at the new address. When it's time to withdraw, the old address suddently reappears and you have to go through the process of changing it again.

3) Part of #2 above, the book makes you send (or resend) you license plus a utility bill with the new address "for your protection."

4) You call or chat to find out if you have met the bonus requirment for wagering necessary for a withdraw. They tell you they can only let you know via e-mail...of course, that e-mail doesn't come and you call back in to start all over again.

5) You discover the fee for a bank wire is three times higher than using their debit card but, the lead time to apply and get their debit card is 2-3 weeks.

6) Of course there is the oft used making a request for a withdraw and just never hearing anything until you initiate the communication.

Thankfully none of the 6 listed above have ever happened to me.

Any of the above would suck.

Yet another reason for USA to legalize it.

Of course legal land casinos have been known to use "legal tactics" to get you to stay and spend money.

Remember this guy?:

Brian Molony

Look him up, casinos did everything possible to keep him from leaving when he was winning.

LMM.......little trivia for ya.

My parents had an account at that bank where Brian stole all that money. My dad actually met with him a couple times. Needless to say after he got arrested he wasn't working at that bank any longer:142smilie

Oh and get this, Brian has worked for years and years as a financial consultant.

In fact a friend of mines dad actually used to work with him.

As far as I know Brian was the only player to ever take all the chips from Caesars "high stakes" room. He literally won ever single chip from the entire "high stakes" room at Caesars in Atlantic City. Every single one.

that is a very good movie as is just about anything PS Hoffman is in. Thanks for the reference.

I saw that Boogie Nights is in rotation on one of the moview channels...another excellent performance in a decent movie.
