The Washington Wizards try to retain their tenuous grip on the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference when they host the Detroit Pistons tonight.

Detroit are 41-24 SU and a very healthy 37-27-1 ATS this season. While the Pistons went winless on their recent five-game road trip it must be noted that four of these losses were against upper-echelon teams in the Kings, Lakers, Warriors and Blazers and they still own the second-best road record in the East. They got back on track at home with four straight wins over the Rockets, Warriors, Lakers and Wizards before losing last time out to a Celtics team that was avenging a record 52 point home loss.

Washington are 32-34 SU and the Jordan factor has meant inflated lines all season long resulting in a bankroll draining ATS record of 27-38-1. They have covered just two of their last eight overall and one of their last five at home....and they basically need to beat the best team in the East to cover tonight.

Both these teams come into this contest on two days rest....which is good news for Detroit who are 6-2 ATS in this situation and bad news for Washington who are just 2-10 ATS.

Detroit have won six of the last seven in this series including their last three visits to the MCI Center and we expect them get the win and cover once again tonight.

Recommended Play: Detroit -1.5
