i am by no means a long time coll basketball capper....or as good at this sport than a lot of people in here...
but a few things i took notice of when looking at this game...
1.) line looks off....absolutley on the surface this game looks easy..detroit has played solid ball this year against some good competition....but traditionally at least as far as i have noticed..detroit is a solid home play but shaky on the road...maybe that is changing this year???...im not sure we have seen enough of them on the road ....
2.) BG ..has 5 starters returning.. detroit has 2....veteran team at home..
3.) detroit...in its last 2 trips to BG in the last 5 years has been anything but dominating...
1998...they won 72-70
2001..detroit got smoked at BG..77-60 ...
last year detroit won by 14 at home against BG.....they did however have a substantial free throw advantage..which you would expect at home...39 FT to BG's 19....i would think with this game at BG that advantage to detroit may be nullified....
just some intangibles i noticed... i think we would both like to see some of the MAC cappeers perspectives on this game...
