DHop vs. Holt?

Does Demetrius have a shot to upset Holt? Hopkins is a tall boxer with decent speed. Holt is a natural talent but he can be reckless and/or lethargic. Hopkins may have the better beard and if he stays smart, who knows? Any odds anywhere on this one yet?

I have seen Holt hurt so many times....I have to really think about this one

I wonder if losing a few pounds in a couple days will hurt D-Hop

Why such a lack of interest on this one? I like Hops chances. IMO, not a very wise move by Holt's camp to take on this guy, especially on late notice. Holt is a bit chinny...hurt bad in both Torres' fights, ko'd by Davis, knocked down by Diaz and has struggled in several fights. Holt hit his stride against Mightie Mike and then against the Sth African but how good were those guys? Hlats just got a gift draw against non world class talent in Rodrigues. IF Hop gets a fire lit under his ass, I think he'll be trouble for Holt. I took + 200 for 3 bucks. BTW, Hop was 3-0 against Holt in the amateurs.


Correction: I believe it's 1-0. I read 3-0 yesterday and still trying to find it.

I don't like to be spreading misinformation but I read that yesterday...trying to find a link. Somebody personally told me it was 2-0 and Bob Arum says on BT they fought once. I'm not sure which one is correct. Fightnews also alludes to only 1 fight so that it what I assume.

i was looking for some "pure boxers" ...rangy righties with a solid jab on holt`s resume.......

thomas davis is rangy but his stoppage of holt was holt`s fault according to fight writer...

holt`s better opponents haven`t really been what i`d call technicians.....arnaoutis is sort of a tweener....so theres no real frame of reference....

hmmm...

makes it interesting...

i wouldn`t be surprised though,if holt is just to quick and explosive...

he has "sudden" power...
