He's not even the Starr of that picture

I did notice Bart in the background. He lived here in Birmingham for the rest of his life after retiring. Actually, he lived in the adjacent neighborhood here in North Shelby County. Met him & ran into him several times over the years up until his death. If anyone out there has ever met him, I know they will concur...one of the nicest human beings God ever put on this Earth!!!

May he Rest in Peace.

Bart & his wife Cherry shopped my Costco in Hoover frequently. Wonderful people and always took time to speak with my employees and treated people with respect. They lived in river chase very close to my building. :0008

My neighborhood is right next to Riverchase which has a County Club. His house was about halfway down the 16th fairway, a par 5, which was always an easy birdie for me.:grins: People like Bart & Cherry are what keeps my faith in humanity. Talking with Bart was like talking to a lifelong friend. He made small talk about golf or the weather & if you did not know football you would never know he was the MVP of the first 2 Super Bowl. Such a sweet & humble man.
