Cause Washington St. laying only 7 on the road to Stanford looks pretty darn good to me. Still have a little work to do on this one, but how will Stanford prevent WSU from scoring at will?!?!

Another good play at first glance is Vandy laying 5.5 over MTSU which people around here still haven't been able to fully appreciate. MTSU has been in serious trouble the past few weeks due largely to injuries while Vandy has had road problems, but have played solid at home.

Should be a great week!

(I edited out ASU/Oregon State as being a potential play for this upcoming week)

good pick last week... oregon st. has big problems: o-line is missing 2 tackles and a guard + qb anderson has lost all his confidence. defense game up a ton of yards to 3 string rb of ucla and k cesna is still missing chippies. i, initially like az st. here!

I kinda like AZ st. here. They shoulda blew out UNC if not for 5 turnovers and missed FG's. They had 2x the Fd that UNC had and over 150 more total yards. Oregon St. d looked terrible against UCLA.

Just a FYI on the Vandy-Midd Tenn Game, I believe Vandy's QB is suspended for this upcoming game. Also Middle Tenn's Top rusher is questionable as of now.

Thanks for the info on Oregon State. . .definitely a no play for me and as you say, the play might be Arizona State. A good bet might be the over in that one as both teams should score 40!

My real Pac 10 pick of the week is Washington State laying 7 (or less if you can get it) over Stanford :D (Lets see you change my mind on this one! LOL)

ndnfan,

I also heard Vandy's QB being questionable. . . still love this play as Vandy has several other players that will make the difference.

I agree that Midd Tenn St has some major problems....Vandy still may be a solid play. As you can see the announcement was made a while ago, so the extra days off between games should help Vandy as being more prepared with this situation...here's what I pulled from the Vandy website:

Johnson Suspends Cutler, Brigham 9/30/02

Vanderbilt football coach Bobby Johnson announced late today that quarterback Jay Cutler and wide receiver Grant Brigham have been indefinitely suspended from the team for a violation of team rules.

Very good info ndnfan. . . thanks for the help.

Honestly, I would take the worst Divison One QB with this Vandy team and still give MTSU 7.5 points! I know that sounds stupid and ignorant perhaps, but MTSU has major problems as shown by their last two performances and the entire season for that matter. I'll try and dig up some info on Vandy's 2nd string QB and see if there's any reason to lay off this side.

ndnfan,

Just saw that as well. . . first game last year they lost 28 to 37 against a much better MTSU team. Like the revenge factor here as they may not look past MTSU with Georgia coming up the week after.

Looking at the new opening lines again for the 2nd time and found it hard to believe that Miami is favored by 14 over Florida State. I realize the Noles haven't been that impressive, but 14 just feels like a few too many. Probably means the smart money will be on Miami, but Florida State has the talent to keep this game close to the very end if things come together for them.

I don't know why, but PAC-10 is a hard luck conference for me,but here is what I seem to understand so far;The astro turf teams dont do as well on grass more than in other conferences, and the grass teams get even faster on turf.Oregon State and USC I think do have a coaching advantage because they have ex-NFL coaches.

On the Fla st./Miami game; This can easily be a backdoor cover or a blowout. I wouldnt play this game with Bangladesh money.
