Bluegrass!
For all those that are interested, Championship day is a couple days away. These people are regular joes like all of us,and will be competing for some MAJOR bucks! I believe the 1st virtual race is worth $20,000 bucks!! Hard to believe, huh?

As expected there are maximum fields for all seven championship races to be run on Digiturf Championship Day on July 31.

All the Digiturf big guns will be in action on the day, including leading stake-earners Need the Cash ($2268) and Keenan the Kid ($2213).

Need the Cash, winner of 12 of 13 starts and runner-up to Tap on Wood on the sole occasion she has tasted defeat to far, is set to start at long odds-on for the $20000 championship sprint for fillies over 1200m on turf in Australia.

Need the Cash won nine of the 10 qualifying heats leading to the big day and amassed 99 qualifying points, 50 more than Tap on Wood who finished second on the table of qualifiers. Obviously, it will be the shock of the year if she doesn?t take the sprint honours for fillies on July 31.

Keenan the Kid, a 12-time winner from 28 runs, will be in action in the $20000 championship race for colts and geldings over 2200m on turf in Hong Kong.

Keenan the Kid?s rivals in this blockbuster include the likes of Silver Fox, who scored the second-highest number of qualifying points (52 to Keenan the Kid?s 68), and up-and-coming Black Camel.

Most people hadn?t even heard of Black Camel until recently, when he won the final qualifier for the $10000 championship race for stayers followed a couple of days later by a victory in the final qualifying heat for the 22000m championship race.

There were doubts if those wins would be enough to gain him a place in either of the two relevant championship races, but as it turns out his last-gasp bid to qualify has succeeded and it may be a fairytale about to come true.

He was thoroughly impressive in taking the final qualifier for the 2200m championship race and a repeat of that performance may well be enough for him to clinch a huge prize on July 31.

All the details of the final fields can be found by clicking on View Race Schedule, which can be found under RACE VIEWER on the navigation bar on the left of the page.

Clicking on View Race Schedule will bring up the calendar for July and then click on Tuesday July 31, which will give you the details of the championship races and all the runners.

And remember! Even if you don?t have a runner in one of the championship races, there?s still plenty of money to be won betting on Digitote on the day. The pools are likely to be huge so be sure to take a look at the form and have a bet!
