What's everybodies take on this one? I've seen very little of Flores but apparently he can box a little bit and has some underrated pop. I've seen Wilson a few times. He'll take out anybody that stands right in front of him but he has shown to be a little limited. Weepaul is taking the upset and I think he may be on to something. I haven't seen the line drop but good + odds on flores may sway me. If flores stays on his feet then I think he wins. That's a big IF when it's a 12 rder w/Wilson. I can see Flores winning a Dec here. Any thoughts?

+155 out there so far on Flores Romi. I'm gonna end up continuing to ride The Ding A Ling Wave so far with a parlay to get even money. Tons of tomato cans on Flores record and I'm sure you hear he was on the canvas against Chris Thomas. I thought Wilson's last opponent boxed pretty well and Darnell looked awful and still found a way to win. If you were going to play Flores, I 'd say wait for the decision prop where you can probably get +200 anyways

Is Rubio that much better than Zertuche for Z to be at +250- I think not.

the good news is flores is 6`2",he`s a solid boxer with a nice amateur pedigree....and wilson absolutely can be outboxed...

the bad is that you can smack wilson around for 10 rounds and he can knock you out in the 11th..no matter how exhausted he looks....take it from me...i`ve seen him live...and i had nwodo.....lol

anybody that bets this fight will be on pins and needles for as long as it lasts...

After some more thought on it, I'm staying away. I haven't seen enough of flores to know whether or not he's for real. If he got knocked down by a scrub then I tend to think Wilson will eventually catch up to him. Wilson is on a tear and he is VERY determined. Despite a few deficiencies, w/his desire to win and his KO pop, he'll steam through the pretenders.

i wasn`t saying that flores isn`t worth a play.....that decision prop is nice...good value....

it`s just that wilson`s on a roll(as romi indicated)and as raw and exhausted as he may look late in fights,he`s still very dangerous....he diesn`t really throw any set up punches...i don`t think he knows how to set a guy up....

the bombs just come....

i may play this prop meself....i have to look at what the odds are for flores straight up...

I looked at some highlight clips of Flores.
And to be honest i believe this kid is going down and it wont last long.
Ding is a smart fighter and this kid has pretender written all over. Just my feeling but this kid doesnt look like somebody who can withstand the pressure of wilson.
My feeling says Wilson inside 4.
gotta take some under 9 and a half

another forum I respect is backing Flores, by a wide margin actually.

I dont know much about either guy, so I followed boxlock's strategy, took Flores decision and Wilson in parlays.

Im looking it over, ill post any more seemingly good plays or comments.

not at all....i was late to the dance as usual with flores by 12 rd decision at +318.......but,that way more than covered the under ....

i was floored when wilson`s cornerman said to him,"go to the body....do that sugar ray leonard thing on him".......

he was asking ding-a-ling to go all sugar ray on flores?......that`s like asking a freight train to take a dirt road.......

i lauhged out loud....

i gotta say, though,i thought teddy`s scoring was quite a bit off....wilson landed nothing until the last few rounds.....

and i was a tad nervous in the 12th....one of those ding-a-ling hail mary`s and i lose both ways....

congrats to everyone...a good night

Flores landed only 93 punches the whole fight, that breaks down to less then 8 connects a round. Most of his lands came in the first 4 rounds at that. 63, I think, out of 93 punches landed were jabs. So, in all honesty, WHAT did Flores land?!?

Wilson threw more punches, landed more, and out of those, they were power shots. I had Wilson winning the fight, 115-113, but could see MAYBE Flores winning a close SD, getting a 115-113 nod. 116-112 sounds a little like a stretch and 118-110 is just outright bad. Flores gave away at least four rounds EASY in that fight.

I'm sorry, but Wilson landed almost 30 more punches, he threw like 200 more punches. Flores boxed well early, then ran for almost 8 rounds straight. I can't give a guy the fight for being on his bike.....

I start the thread 1/2 ass suggesting the flores dec and what do i do...I bet wilson by dec hahahaha. I nearly hedged on the under so it wasn't all bad. The +800 and then some was hard to pass up on wilson by dec and I missed the +575 most here got on flores by dec. I still made 50 bucks profit on the night w/escalante so no big deal...apparently some thought wilson won. Congrats to those that stuck w/Flores! Lets go williams!

all due respect,my friend, but,i`m surprised that a real boxing guy like yourself buys into that punchstat b.s....

i`ve had a problem with punchstat since forever...some guy sitting at ringside with a clicker?....

they must have been counting punches that landed on the arms...because if wilson landed that many punches...power punches as you say,we`d be discusiing a different outcome...

he was the aggressor...yes...but effective aggression?...ring generalship?....i don`t think so....

he missed practically everything he threw....there wasn`t a mark on flores that i could see while flores landed many, many jabs.....jabs that were practically the only clean punches landed up until the last 2 rounds...

it was embarrassing watching wilson flail around in the ring...

wilson seemed pretty amenable to the decision...maybe he`s just a gentleman...

we can agree to disagree...

I just don't see how you can give a decision to a man that ran for most of the fight. Punch stats aren't everything, but when you are landing less then 8 punches a round on average, there is NO WAY you won 10-2, or 118-110. I wouldn't have cared so much if Flores won 115-113 on a SD, or something to that effect. 118-110 is just terrible. Flores gave away 4 or 5 rounds, by doing nothing but running and holding. I thought Wilson won 115-113. Teddy had it 115-114 and quite a few people on on sites had it a close Wilson win, or a draw. If Flores won, it as sure to hell wasn't by those score cards....

I know punch stats aren't everything, but I'm not looking at punch stats when I score a fight either. There was 2 or 3 rounds were Flores threw about 15 punches, or less, in the round. How, in God's name, can you win a round when you connect on 4 punches?!?!? At least Wilson forced the issue in the fight. Besides the 11th, Flores didn't do much work outside the first few rounds.

Flores is a complete bucket of shyt. Besides Arslan, the rest of the top 10 will pound this guys head open. Hell, Rob Calloway, who was in his corner, I honestly think would beat Flores....

I am with you Brother. I hate the ****in punchstats. I trust my own eyes. My eyes seen Wilson hitting air for most of the night, although the rounds he won, he won big. I would give him 5 rounds at the most.

I also agree that Flores will not make it in the big leagues.

Last but not least YEE HAW BJ:00hour .

I could only get Flores by decision at +318.

Shit! +550 was a real bargain....

o.k...i spoke to a few guys i respect locally...guys that are involved with the local boxing scene in my area....and they seemed to agree with your point of view....

now,i have to say that these guys know darnell wilson personally,`cause he`s a local fighter and imo, they aren`t totally objective.....but they are solid boxing guys affiliated with some of the local shows...

i`ve seen him 3 times in person,and i`m not a big fan,to be honest...

i watched it again(i skimmed through some of it cause it was pretty boring) and ding-a-ling did land a few decent uppercuts....and,to be fair,118-110 is a ridiculous score....these guys had it close for wilson but were disappointed that neither guy was able to do enough to clearly delineate the win....

the one fellow brought up the malignaggi/ngoudjo fight and drew a parallel to this fight...he said that many liked ngioudjo`s aggression more than malignaggi`s boxing(granted, that was a much better, more action packed fight).....

i usually bitch like hell about these guys that get on their bicycle or hold and don`t engage...

so,maybe i took to strong a stand...

if i`m wrong,i apologize...i just thought wilson looked so amateurish and missed way to many punches...the majority of his punches...he was bad...and flores,in a different way, wasn`t much better, even though flores basically had to fight this kind of fight and take his chances with the judging...

i`m not impressed with flores either,btw....and i have to stand by my statement on punchstat...just my opinion..

again,it was a tough fight to score and sorry if i came on to strong...
