Usually there are a handful that will stick in my memory, this year there were only a few. And had it not been for Britney's breasts bouncing around, I would have been even more disappointed.
I think the recession forced a lot of companies to reconsider their advertising budget, especially the value of a one-time expense like a commercial on a Super Bowl.
The network showing the game usually has some commercials pushing its programs, but there were more than usual this year. That means that Fox wasn't able to sell out its commercials.
I think these were the funniest though:
1. The Cowboy in the bar
2. The hawk swooping down for the Bud Light
3. The monkey
4. The Malcolm in the Middle spider
5. The Bud Light mini-fridge Battle Bot
The most touching was the Clydesdales tribute to New York.
"How you doing?"
"Great! I just got in town today..."
That was funny.
