This team was looking like absolute TOILET until mid=August.....

They have 2 big league starters on the roster right now, and one big league reliever, but it just so happens that that reliever is the best in the game right now and those starters are right up there.....

Brad Lidge has to be considered for NL MVP....if the MVP stands for MVP, then this guy is exactly that.

Nastiest pitch in the big leagues he makes hitters look like they are up there fly-fishing.

Unbelievable season and Barry Bonds you can take your attitude and stay home....Sosa can take his ego-- whats left of it anyway -- and stay home too.

Now we get to see these guys go three and out as Chokewell and Biggio play their swan-song.

Cubs let them back in this race in August when after the Cubs took the first of a four game series, Houston won the remaining three. If the Cubs would have taken 3 of 4, Houston would probably been buried.

With Roy and Roger getting four of the five starts in this series (at least that's what I assume they're doing), I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Houston in the NLCS. I was in Houston in late July, and was listening to sports radio on the drive back. It was the morning after they'd been swept in a two-game series by the Dodgers. The callers and hosts were calling for the trades of Beltran, Kent, Roger, etc., and just ripping the team to shreds. Nice to see them close so strong despite all of the negativity (not that it wasn't legit criticism).
