would have thought there would be more talk about the fight by now, but i guess it is really tough one to call and everyone is awaiting someone to jump into the pool. lol my thoughts are as i have expressed above. a side is hard to call. does shane have his number? does shane have any confidence left? is shane too quick for him? did oscar learn something from forrest? has the new corner helped oscar and given him a "new" approach? is there a deciding desire motive for each or both fighters? on and on it goes. i can really make a case for each fighter as far as the side goes and any outcome would not have my jaw hit the floor. that being said i think mosley getting +200 or more is probably the best value, but............ lol goes on and on. i do think the best play of the bout is the over. i know it's gonna cost at least -240 but in my mind that is the best play of the fight. of course i am all ears..... well in this case eyes. how bout some opinions and thoughts and feels? also on the card i think johnston is a good value but i sorta think lezcano will win the fight so does it cover over? also think cotto will end his fight early. of course he will win but that bet is ridiculous and they priced it accordingly. alot of other fights to go over as well but my fingers are getting tired. opinions anyone?????

Just a thought

Just a thought

You know everyone Ive talk to regarding the fight has the exact same sentiment so dont feel too confused. I agree that mosely @ + 200 is the bargain pick and the over seems like a lock, but i really have a feeling like ODLH has something to prove. I think that the reports out of his camp that the left hand is hurt is a crock of shit, because if it were true, oscar would have bowed out like the FRENCH!!!!! Besides Oscar has way more to loose than mosely. I look for oscar to shy away from the technical style that was shown during the trinidad fight and go more towards the Vargas fight where he took some punches, but returned a whole hell of a lot more. This fight has to be a brawl because both men's egos are on the line. Lets face it the looser is almost forced to retire after this fight. Having said all that, I would have to say that for a value bet, Take the under 12 rounds. Make it a small bet (that way you get excited with every single punch). This IS the type of fight to make a small wager and wait for a great fight.

I agree with n2boca...Oscar will be more of a counterpuncher here and try to pick his shots rather than try to outbox Shane. Oscar should probably be a slight favorite, but not at 2-1 or more. I may make a small play on Mosely.

After being a long time "peeping tom" to this section I decided to "get in the ring"!

I applaude the outstanding boxing sense shared in the pursuit of making dollars.

In the interest of gaining a bit of credibility I share the following:

1). I have followed this sport my entire life. How things have changed since my youth when you could watch title fights on ABC and listen to Howard.

2). I was #1 welterweight at Iowa State Univ. my jr. and sr. year. I sure do miss drinking o.j.-eating oatmeal-and chewing tobacco to loose the 23 lbs., getting up for 8 a.m. classes, and getting pounded by heavier fighters when it was Climb The Ladder Day...NOT! I do miss getting a little special treatment from certain professors (praise and grades) and being in the best shape of my life.

Regarding the outcome-a fighter can work on conditioning, change technique and strategy but what you yearn for is "the need for SPEED".

I believe that Mosley will be comfortable at his present weight and his hand speed will the deciding factor.

At times in O.D.L.H.'s bouts with Fernando & Yuri Boy his left hand was down by his side and I would expect that opening will not be availble to Mosley on Saturday.

Regarding the hand injury, from my own experience it's the old Brylcream (sp?) slogan of a little dab 'ill do you but instead-a little shot 'ill do you. It's been 21 yrs. since I stepped into a ring and I still at times feel the injury to my left wrist and at the time of the injury "the fight goes on"!

At OLY I placed 1U on Mosley +230

Enjoy the action and good luck with your wager(s)

sorry guys I have been off on football now as it is my main source of money in sports wagering.

I guess I shouldnt have pissed BOX off. Hopefully he is still emailing you guys with plays.

Got to agree on the Mosely and the over. I played Mosely last night .

I read today where Oscar says if he loses that he will retire.

He really does carry his hands low. He has always done it.
I am hoping he gets clocked.
