100% proven by experts todays cars even ones 15 years old are made to run on regular gas .............. there is no increase in gas milegae or performance with the 97 grade your better off using a can of gas treatment to boost performnace than paying $1 extra for premimum ..........believe me i tried in my lil 4 cyl dodge ............ best way ti increase mileage is buy a can of of lubricant at any dolllar tree or dollar general for like $2.40 spray it in tank before fill up watch that milage increase ............. WHY? because the gas lines are lubricated and helps the gas burn better higher faster so none is wasted. Multiple test were run as you will find on you tube THe only cars or vehicles that need high octane gas are the older carburator ones from the 70's and 80's i laugh at neighbors who bought old cadillacs three of them hardly driven taking up 2 parking spots ....... I never bought a cadillac because they over heated constantly because the radioators were too small.
like omg my old chevy impala barely got 15 mpg on highway 10 in city .......... BUT back then gas was only .80 per gal i was lucky to get one year at .35 per gal imagine fill up only cost $6.50
then because prices hit $1 a gal the pumps needed 4 digits just think these old gas guzzllers to day that have 18 gal gas tanks at average price of $5 per gal costs $85 to fill up thats with 1 gal left in tank Thank Lord i only have a 13.5 gal tank 10 gals well yeah $50 which gets me through the full day driving 100 miles but next day only need max $35
