Thinks its San Jose...off to San Antonio to see the 2 undefeated Conf USA teams play North Texas-UTSA...NT is 16-1 winning 8 straight games- but has won the last few in close games..they are not blowing out teams....UTSA has snuck up on everybody despite winning 6 in a row..thought they were under the radar..I capped the game as NT-1.5 over UTSA...but was thinking out in Vegas they will make NT a -3 or -4 favorite..then I will take the +3 or 4 pts...wishful thinking on my part...not happening...those boys out in Vegas value the Roadrunners a lot to make it a 1 pt dog...I always pass on games that are to close to call
So will put one * on North Texas since I"m picking my free ticket up at the will call window...and I want to cheer for my Mean Green..but I think the line is now +2 UTSA and think they win this outright...will be a small parlay with a few other teams with the Roadrunners..was court side last yr when NT won by 1...thats when I got to see Jivvan and his act...but also saw NT's Smart and he is even better...UTSA has the starting 5 back from last yrs 1 pt loss...but NT has added some more shooters... UTSA has the advantage in the paint...Wallace and Jivvan are the best 2 gd tandem in the Conf USA...and with a better front court and playing at home...NT won on the rd vs Rice,UTEP,etc...still won but struggled...if they play like that today UTSA wins straight up...so won't count this game...my heart says NT and I;m wearing my NT hat and sweatshirt. today..but since I'm in Austin now UTSA is my adopted team...but think Roadrunners win outright and stop NT streak..

Wrong team is getting the point..TT plays great defense and the Longhorn 3 pt shooters are better at home in the Erwin center but 2-22 the other nite in Stillwater..the 3 pts arc and distance in Stillwater is still the same distance in Austin...this team is so inconsistent ..and Tech does have a 6'10 in Owens that can play even with the big Texas boys...Culver is right now the B12 POY...Odaise is 6'9 and matches up vs Texas front line..the Italian kid Moretti loves Austin's pizza places and Mooney the transfer from South Dak is amazing...Beard didn't get the Texas job..they gave it to Shaka...big mistake...TT wins this on the road..

dog lover...wish I could be with you today at the Erwin Center...think your Longhorns are going down...I want 2 *'s on the over-under when Texas scores... I say you will be still standing at the 17 minute time mark...for those of you that don;t know...the Texas fans stand until the Longhorns make there 1st bucket...Texas Tech will be up 6-0 before Coleman hits a driving layup just about 3 minutes into the game...let me know later if I was right..have fun..did bad last nite ...hit one basket with Rider and shot 3 airballs...just like the Longhorns today..

I was a little worried earlier just because RU has a couple athletic big guys that were scoring with a touch and grabbing some rebounds. Coffey went off for the Goph's in the 2nd half with a tomahawk dunk, mid-range jumpers, and a couple of 3's. Can't understand why Pitino isn't using Isaiah Washington more. He helped blow it open in the 2nd half before getting tossed along with an RU player for a scuffle late. The kid can pass and penetrate, but just 5 for 30 from behind the arc going into today, and of course, his first 3 attempt today is a bank shot from 3 feet behind the arc that went down. Hit another 3 from the corner, but his speed and passing buried RU. Jordan Murphy had 12 rebounds and double-digit points as well.

What a game. 7 lead changes. Jivvan list it. Is 0-4. 4 turnovers. Was benched. 33-27 utsa smart didn?t start. Was benched. Jivvan not sitting with team when taken out. Utsa playing better but who knows what happens in 2nd half. Smart has done nothing and jivvan. So both leading scorers aren?t a factor yet. Jivvan has been hit 3 times driving to the basket and didn?t get a call. But having so much fun and with a friend from north Texas that I haven?t seen in over 35 years. We both changed but he is still 6?10. He played for NT in the late 60?s.
