I do. Just started 4 years ago.......I had the same issue with it conflicting with wagering, but I tried it 4 years ago for the first time and LOVED IT!!! Have taken home the 1st place trophy 2/4 years and have gone to the Super Bowl 3/4 years!

Wish more people here played. This forum is always pretty dead during the season.

I think you'll soon find out there well over 50 people who visit this site play fantasy. There just aren't a lot of posters who frequent these parts of the forums because it's not what they come to this site for. If you are talking about all people who visit this site, including those who don't have a username registered, I think you are looking at 500-1000. Fantasy is very very popular.

you wouldn't know it by the responses within this hangout..

year after year fantasy football is non issue for the most part..

would further venture to say that 90% of those who do 75% of the partisipation in the General and NFL FORUMS DON'T EVEN PLAY IN A LEAGUE..

it's pretty much a dead subject with MJ's members who contribute a line or 2 ever so often..

could be wrong..but I doubt it..

nay....ain't MANY FANTASY PLAYERS AROUND THESE PARTS..

but we are going to try like hell to make the fantasy league thread a great one..

which means making sure we direct ALL FANTASY SPORTS communications and directives into the FANTASY SPORTS FORUM..

and please all you fantasy football fanatics..

please don't forget to get Timmy on YOUR TEAM.:0008

I think this will be my 17th or 18th year. I'm not that big into it, but I join a league every year. I think it is best to play with people from work or friends you interact with regularly.

What's the exact status of AP???? Is he starting out on the PUP list or could there be a chance he'll play in Week 1 or 2??

He's fallen quite a bit in the drafts.......

My sleeper RB for Week 1 IF AP doesn't play is TOBY GERHART!!!! If he gets the chance at being the main back for a couple games this kid will have solid games running and catching!! You watch!! Vikings are at home vs Jax week 1......from what I see Minny doesn't have that much depth at RB.

Bleed...can you fill us in on the Viking RB situation???? What's your thoughts on Gerhart???

Purp and I talked about this the other day and all indications are that he has fully recovered and able to make cuts and such but being held back a little here and there just to be safe. I think AP is undervalued as well with the ascension of Chris Johnson to first round status I am surprised to see AP gong in the third and fourth but he will move up as the days pass.

Hope that helps,
FDC

I've been in the same league for over 10 years with the same guys. Most of us are old high school buddies and it's a great way to keep in touch. Plus, there's nothing better than beating your close friends at fantasy football.....which hasn't happened in a while for me. I'm due!

Someone to keep in mind as a sleeper RB, IMO, is Kendall Hunter. Gore is getting worn down and Hunter as a rookie last year without a full training camp was pretty good. Fast, great hands and an all around good football player. Good late round pick. I know the Niners backfield seems crowded but it seems to me Harbaugh likes and trusts Hunter.

 Have more confidence OS... I remember improving markedly between my first and second years of fantasy... specifically in the draft. Best advice I can give you, and you seem like you're already on it, is mock, mock, mock...

oh, and don't get too hung up on what these so-called experts say in those draft magazines you find on the shelves at the store. their info is usually based on old information and they base too much of their rankings on the prior year. it's all about this season. 2011 is in the past.
