i can't remember my first one....

check that...took Shane reynolds at some ridiculous price of like, -180 with the astros--for a win. First Bases play, figured was easy, regardless of the MLs as jus hadta pick the winning team. Delusional then...still now? Having the winning team never hurts

My first bet was in 1987 or 1988. I was 13 or 14, and played $22 on Evansville hoops laying a small number. The play won, which cost me in the long run as I got my ass kicked by the man for the next couple of years:mj07:

Ingomar Johannsen vs Floyd Patterson

I was at my first unsupervised boy - girl birthday party. We were playing "Spin The Bottle" and I had just finished kissing the prettiest girl at the party.

The fight was about to start and we were all huddled around a little transistor radio.

I said I thought Johannsen would win. Some kid said, "wanna' bet?" I said I'd bet five cents. He agreed and we shook hands.

The swede knocked him out in the third round.

I was twelve years old.

So was the bookie.

On the course!
It was back in the early 80's. As most guys......my bet won.

It was a Cubs or Braves game...I don't recall anymore, but it was on WGN or TBS because that's all you had back then, and I remember we watched it.

I made $50, and bought a new pair of Nikes/Reboks.
