Do you typically hedge this situation?

1st 3 of a 6 point teaser in the clear, 1 to go. Could take the guaranteed payback of more than double, or let it ride for nearly 4x. I usually don't get to sit and think about it for a couple days. What do most of you do in these situations?

1. Win 27-Aug Football/NFL (Spread) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+9) vs Miami Dolphins for Game (+105) 14 - 17
2. Win 27-Aug Football/NFL (Total) Tampa Bay Buccaneers/Miami Dolphins (U 40.5) for Game (-108) 14 - 17
3. Win 27-Aug Football/NFL (Total) Houston Texans/Dallas Cowboys (U 43.5) for Game (-108) 9 - 21
4. 29-Aug-05 Football/NFL (Spread) St Louis Rams (+10) vs Detroit Lions for Game (-102) Pending

Tough call, I'd hedge it a bit but not too much.

For example, last year in football I had a $30 4 team parlay that would have payed me $300 and I was waiting for the 4th leg to come in. I hedged it for $77 on the other side and had myself a guaranteed profit. Not a bad situation to be in:)

Good luck!

mmmm, nice position to be in smurphy.

I think you would hedge if you had the Rams for the +4.

But, with the +10,i believe you should let it ride out.

Wait for some other opinions.

Good luck smurphy, cash that ticket :)

I play a lot of parlays and almost always hedge for a healthy amount in this type of situation. However, with a teaser and getting 10 points tonight you could bet Detroit and hope for a middle. GL Hope you cash it!

6 pt 4 team teaser pays 3 to 1 with my book. You could essentially take Detroit ML -160 and make 140 percent back of your money. You also give yourself a chance with 10 points to catch both.

Guaranteed 140% of original bet is good.. (IMO, I like guaranteed money, even if it was $40 on those bad weeks.. BUT... :scared

Personally, Rams +10 is nice in preseason, I think detroit wins but +10 is lots to give up. Even with Martz!!

GL either way you go! Hope you bit both!! :mj14:

You certainly can dabble:

I would and have hedged back my intial investment to either break even--or turn a partial profit or strike the gold for a middle.

You can try these combos--do 1 or all.

1) Take LIONS - 3 to 3 1/2 and BUY THE HALF POINT.

2) small wager on money line.

3 ) Hook LIONS UP in a 6 point teaser with another team/s.

Hey have fun good luck and good job !

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I bout Detroit -3.5 for 150% of the original teaser amount. Let's go middle!

Good to hear from others - I like the idea of guaranteed money and will probably look that way in the future.

GUARANTEED MONEY is the way to go. You have immediately went from GAMBLER to INVESTOR.

LOL...now the game takes on all kinds of meanings.. You'll be rooting both ways..praying for defenses to hold..and just field goals on certain drives..

HAVE FUN GOOD LUCK--WE'LL ALL ROOT YOU HOME !
