The San Francisco Giants tonight look to continue one of their best starts ever as they host Kevin Brown and the LA Dodgers.

The Giants 10-1 record is their best start to a season since 1938 when they still played in New York. They send Jason Schmidt (1-0, 1.35 ERA) to the mound tonight and he has started the season very well....despite not figuring in the decision Monday he gave up just one run and seven hits over 5 2/3 innings against the Padres. 14 K's versus just 4 walks this season is an example of the dominance he has had thus far in 2003.

The Dodgers own a 5-7 record this season and are hitting just .223 overall and .208 on the road....7 of 9 road games have gone Under the total. Kevin Brown (1-0, 0.73 ERA) gets the start tonight and he finally appears to have overcome the injuries that have dogged him in recent seasons. Brown is 8-3 lifetime against the Giants with an ERA of just 2.76 and tonight's nationally televised game offers the perfect opportunity for him to make a statement that he's back in a big way.

The 11 games these teams have played at Pac Bell Park since the start of last season have averaged totals of less than 7 runs.... with the first two games this season resulting in totals of just 5 and 3 runs respectively. Factor in tonight's marquee match-up and we see strong value in playing the Under ...enjoy what should be a fantastic pitching duel.
